KOTA KINABALU:

Mayor Datuk Iliyas Bin Ibrahim has given his assurance that members of the public may lodge a complaint directly to him about any problem concerning the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) and the complaint would be investigated immediately. “This is an opportunity for the people to voice out their concerns and problems. However, should the problem or complaint need financial comittment or another agency’s assistance, I hope you are patient and give us time to solve it,” he said at an anti-litter campaign in Inanam yesterday. According to Illiyas, DBKK has implemented several approaches for the benefit of the residents of lnanam Town. “We want the Town and the City to be clean all the time and the three aspects of cleanliness, beauty and safety are the focus of DBKK. “DBKK is committed in assisting and guiding the residents of the City and other urban and non-urban areas in these aspects, but we need the cooperation from the whole community,” he said. Beneficial programmes aimed at achieving the goal of zero litter have been implemented, he added. Among those in attendance were Inanam Assemblyman Johnny Goh Chin Lok, village heads, business operators and DBKK officers.
